GENERAL INFORMATION

Do you offer rates that are not all-inclusive?

No, we only offer all-inclusive package rates.

Is there a specific smoking policy?

Smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes, is prohibited throughout most of the resort including but not limited to common areas, dining venues, bars, suites, suite decks, and balconies. We do however offer designated smoking areas. A cleaning fee may be incurred for smoking in smoke-free areas.

Is a credit card required at check-in?

Yes. A pre-authorized hold may be applied.

Is pre-arrival check-in available?

No, we do not offer pre-arrival check-in.

Upon arrival, can I upgrade my room?

Yes, additional fees apply and upgrades are subject to availability.

Do I need to bring money and exchange my currency to Dominican Pesos when I arrive?

Your all-inclusive package includes meals, drinks, entertainment, and many fun activities. However, we recommend bringing extra cash for off-site expenses, spa services, tours, and transfers. The resort will provide currency exchange services subject to availability. Cash payments are accepted in US Dollars and Dominican Pesos.

Is there a secure place to keep valuables?

In-room safes are included in all room categories. Our resort is not liable for unattended items.

Are children/kids allowed at the resort?

Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana is an adults-only resort for guests of ages 18+. The adjacent Hyatt Ziva welcomes guests of all ages.

What is the tipping policy?

All tips and gratuities are included in your all-inclusive package. Additional gratuities are most welcome by our staff should services exceed your expectations.

Can I drink the local water?

We recommend not to drink faucet/tap water, the resort will provide access to filtered water at all times.

Does the resort provide medical services or support?

Yes, available on a 24-Hour basis.

What is the minimum age for check-in?

18 years of age.

Are pets allowed?

Pets are not allowed.

What credit cards does the resort accept?

Visa, Master Card, and American Express, only.

Is there an ATM at the hotel?

No. However, we can facilitate cash advances placed on credit cards, fees apply.

What is concierge service?

Our concierge desk will be your first point of contact for any questions that you may have. Concierges can also assist you in booking both on-site and off-site activities. Our concierge desk is available from 7:00am to 11:00pm.

Does the hotel offer mobility-accessible services?

Yes, we offer mobility-accessible suites, which can be booked by calling us directly. Our resort is equipped with ramps in most common areas to ensure ease of access. Additionally, we offer mobility scooters for rent at an additional daily fee. To book a mobility scooter, please contact our concierge desk at [email protected].

INCLUSIONS

What's included in my all-inclusive package?

All drinks and meals are included. On-site entertainment, fitness facilities, non-motorized aquatic sports, daily outdoor and indoor activities, in-room minibar, and free wifi. Tastings and multiple social activities are also part of the all-inclusive package.

The following services are not offered as part of the all-inclusive plan, except as otherwise provided:

If I am a guest staying at Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana, do I have access to the neighboring family resort?

Guests will have regular access to the facilities, restaurants, and bars of Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana.

Does the resort offer a Day Pass service?

Yes, however, they are subject to availability based on occupancy. For further information and bookings please contact the resort.

Does the resort have a swim-up bar?

Yes, available in the main pool and club pool.

TRANSPORTATION

How far is the resort from the airport?

Our property is located within an approximate 15-minute drive from Punta Cana International Airport.

Are airport transfers included to and from the resort?

No. However, the resort can offer assistance in arranging airport transfers offered by third-party vendors at an additional cost. You may book airport transfers and other transport services prior to arrival via email: [email protected].

Does the hotel provide transportation around the local area?

No, however, the front desk can assist you in calling a local taxi service.

Is parking available at the resort?

Yes, we offer guest-only free self-service parking, valet parking is not available.

What are the dress codes for the different restaurants?

Do I need to make dinner reservations?

All of our restaurants operate on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Yes, the resort offers gluten-free, vegetarian options, and additional assistance in accommodating special dietary needs (please notify the resort ahead of time).

Do you offer premium branded spirits?

Yes, cocktails made with international and national premium branded spirits are available as part of our all-inclusive experience. Specialty wines and spirits, such as champagne are available for purchase.

Is there room service?

Yes. 24-hour, all-inclusive suite service is available, limited to the total number of guests per suite.

What types of beer are available?

International and local brands.

Are there age requirements for entering bars?

Yes, the legal drinking age in the Dominican Republic is 18+.

Do any of the restaurants and/or bars close during certain times of the year?

Restaurants and bars may be temporarily closed due to renovations, maintenance, and/or other reasons. Please consult the weekly restaurant schedule with our concierge team.

Which restaurants are recommended for large parties? Does group-dining need to be planned?

Our specialty restaurants can accommodate parties of up to 10. Larger groups need to be arranged through our concierge desk.

Do you offer private or romantic dining services, in-room or at the beach?

ACCOMMODATIONS

We are traveling with a couple of friends. Can we request adjoining or connecting rooms?

Connecting rooms are available at an additional cost and subject to availability. They can be arranged on-site and upon arrival only.

Do you offer accessible rooms for people with disabilities? Is the resort wheelchair accessible?

Yes, we offer accessible rooms, these are equipped with accessible bathrooms, handrails, and are located on the ground floor. Please contact us to learn more and to book. Most common areas of the resort are wheelchair accessible.

Can I book a specific room online?

You may only book a room category online, and not a specific room.

What is the difference between an Ocean View and an Oceanfront room?

Oceanfront rooms offer unobstructed, panoramic views of the ocean. Ocean View rooms offer partial views of the ocean.

Are there balconies in all rooms?

All rooms offer either a terrace or balcony, dimensions and views vary by category.

What types of beverages are included in the rooms?

Bottled water, soft-drinks, juice, and beer.

What type of beds are offered?

We offer King and Queen beds. Some family suites may offer bunk beds, and/or roll-out beds. Specific details on bedding configurations per suite category are outlined on our suites page of website.

Do I need to bring an electrical adapter?

All of our suites are equipped with standard North American sockets (Type A, sometimes Type B). If traveling with European, Asian, or non-North American appliances/devices, we recommend bringing an adaptor. Please note that our rooms do not offer 220V sockets.

ACTIVITIES

What type of activities are included in my stay?

Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana offers varied land and water activities including non-motorized aquatic sports, a diving clinic, pool games, language and dance lessons, beach volleyball, ping-pong, board games, and more. Please visit our activities page of the website for a general overview. Upon your arrival, you’ll be able to access our mobile Digital Concierge tool, offering an interactive view of ongoing resort activities.

What is the difference between an activity and an excursion/tour?

Activities are included in your stay such as games and fitness classes. Excursions or tours are optional off-site activities offered by third-party vendors at an additional cost.

How can I arrange tours and excursions outside the resort?

Are cabanas available for rent?

Yes, for an extra fee, and can be booked per day.

Are spa treatments included? If not, what is the price, and can they be booked in advance?

What types of fitness activities are offered?

Access to a fully-equipped gym, outdoor activities such as crossfit, power walks, yoga, aqua-zumba, core and stretching, and aqua-cycling. Fitness activities are subject to change and availability.

What types of watersports are offered?

A wide variety of watersports are available such as outings in catamarans, kayaks, paddle boards, and hobie cats. We also offer an introductory diving tutorial. Watersports are subject to change and availability.

Do you offer a waterpark? Is it accessible to all guests?

Yes. Located in the adjacent Ziva Cap Cana, Canapolis Water Park offers a lazy river with grotto cascade, water cannons and five slides.

Is entertainment included, if so what type of entertainment?

Yes, daily entertainment is available in different areas of the resort. For more detailed information please consult with our concierge desk.

Do you offer on-site photography services? Would this need to be planned?

Yes, they can be arranged on-site.

Are the pools heated?

No, our pools are generally temperate without the need for additional heating.

Can I sunbathe topless on the beach?

No. Due to local regulations, nudity is not allowed in beach areas.
